The Night Before Christmas...

Christmas Eve is such a special night of the year.
My family's tradition is to place a special letter to Santa on the fireplace hearth,
with a glass of cold milk and freshly baked cookies for Santa,
a big carrot for Rudolph,
and of course a mini glass of milk and a chunk of cheese for Santa's Mouse.
Our time together is precious, since we all live so far apart.
Even though my sister and I are all grown up,
some traditions never change.
When it's time for bed, we unwrap one gift...
new pjs!
We all need a good night sleep so we don't wake up when Santa visits.
Sweet dreams...

A very special book, one that was handed down through generations.

What's your tradition?

  1. Merry Christmas Daina! No presents before morning. We have croissants and tea for brekkie. Any pets we have always get a prezzie too. There are some children's books that only come out on Christmas, packed away with the ornaments and lights. Christmas morning, a special warm fuzzy time:)
