Since 2009 I've had the honour of translating about 40 clients' wishes and memories onto canvas. In the earlier years when my career was just beginning, I began taking commissions for custom paintings. I used to put unnecessary pressure on myself to make each painting perfect, rather than just go with the flow and let the painting unfold naturally. In short, I stressed myself out over them. But when each client was moved and elated upon presenting them with their finished painting, the stress abated and soon commissions became my most meaningful and moving work. It really is an honour to have a client share their story with me and trust me to capture it in paint. I'd like to share with you some of the commissions I've done over the past few years.
